BELIEF #1

The most compelling stories are the ones that come from your soul. Whether fiction, memoir, or something in between, truth hits harder than trends. We honor storytelling that dares to disrupt, awaken, and heal.

BELIEF #2

Every writer deserves full creative control, and the freedom to show up exactly as they are. We are a collective sanctuary for originality. We support one another, and we rise together.

BELIEF #3

Publishing can be intimate, expansive, and deeply human. Our community is built on connection. We uplift writers with nervous system-informed support, fierce integrity, and a commitment to making art that lasts.

HI.

I'M SASHA

I'm a multi-genre writer, creative rebel, and trauma-informed writing coach, currently living in sunny San Diego. I’m also a mom, a wife, and the founder of DragonsQuill Publishing LLC.

When I’m not deep in a manuscript or helping others unlock their creative breakthroughs, you’ll find me camping with my family, hiking forest trails, cooking up something new, or toes-in-the-sand at the beach. I love traveling to unfamiliar places and uncovering new corners of the world, especially when it means connecting with the diverse people and stories that make our world vibrant.

My life has been a series of unexpected twists, last-minute turns, and detours that somehow always led me exactly where I needed to be, even when the road was hard. To me, home isn’t four walls, it’s where my people are. I think of myself as a human of the world, not rooted to any one place, though the deep forests of the Pacific Northwest and the warm, salty sun of Southern California will always hold pieces of my heart.

I’ve learned to never say never, because that’s usually when it happens, and above all else, to go with the flow.

The Founding Story

Writing has always been more than a craft for me. It’s been a lifeline. A mirror. A way of making sense of life’s hardest moments. I turned to the page in grief, in growth, and in all the in-between places where words were the only anchor.

But for the past several years, something unsettling has been happening in the publishing world:

Writers with soul-baring, genre-defying, truth-heavy stories are being reshaped, watered down, or told they aren’t “marketable” enough.

Manuscripts are edited to fit trends, specific tropes, pacing formulas, word count ceilings. Debut authors are told to “pick a lane,” even when their stories naturally straddle multiple genres (which readers often love). Raw, real voices get softened, especially when they explore grief, trauma, cultural identity, abuse, or anything deemed “too niche” or “too uncomfortable.”

With a background in mass communication and media, I know a thing or two about marketability.

And here’s the truth: It doesn’t have to be one-size-fits-all. It just has to resonate.

Most big houses don’t market like that anymore. They rely on formulas. Trends. Repeatable blueprints that flatten originality in favor of familiarity. It’s not wrong. It’s just not the only way.

At DragonsQuill, we do it differently.

We don’t try to fit your story into a mold, because it shouldn’t fit.

And we don’t shout into the void. Instead we whisper to the right readers, with clarity and intention.

Because we’re not just a publishing house. We’re a co-creative—a new publishing model where art and impact live side by side.

Where your voice matters. And your readers are already waiting.
